Procedures Resulting from the Merger 　Since the national government will be announcing the new town names to the country, as a general rule, procedures involving reporting a change of address to public institutions at the national, prefectural, and municipal level will not be necessary. In situations where not following these procedures could cause confusion, however, it may be necessary to report a change of address. 　The town will inform you about the necessity of procedures involving matters particularly connected to everyday life. 　Moreover, for instructions regarding the use of various certificates and licenses printed by the town hall before the merger please check with their respective issuers.
